TSS ACCOUNT ANALYST

The Department of Information Systems (DIS) Account Analyst is responsible for serving as a liaison between DIS and assigned customer base. This position works with assigned accounts to determine the best solutions for the state and to offer the most efficient and cost effective solutions to meet technological needs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:

Markets DIS products to customers and potential customers to assist with internet technology solutions. Provides customer relationship management, and maintains contact with customers to increase loyalty and account growth. Serves as point of contact for assigned accounts within DIS. Acts as liaison between agency customers and technical DIS support staff on projects. Works with other DIS departments/divisions to ensure customer needs are met. Provides product demonstrations and presentations, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of information technology systems. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to independently manage customer relationships and develop new ones. Ability to manage several projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree, plus three years of related experience and/or training. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
