STOCK CLERK
The Stock Clerk is responsible for filling orders and delivering supplies for an agency/institution. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:
Receives requisitions and fills orders by pulling supplies and delivers to departmental units. Unloads trucks, separates stock, checks and inspects items received against purchase orders and contract specifications, and places items in storage area. Checks stocks in supply rooms for shortages, restocks with needed supplies, and assists with inventory by counting stock. Makes deliveries and transports vehicles to shop for maintenance. Cleans storage and work areas by sweeping floors, picking up trash and pallets, and straightening shelves on sales floor. Utilizes computer to research, retrieve data, and e-mail customers. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Ability to perform manual labor under varying working conditions. Ability to operate motor vehicles. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to monitor and maintain adequate supply levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
The education equivalent of a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
