DATABASE COORD/BUSINESS LICENSE ANALYST

The Database Coordinator/Business License Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing business and economic related goals and objectives as they relate to provider licensing and computer technology of the Arkansas Pharmacy Board. This position is governed by state and federal law and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:

Establishes and maintains database systems to monitor provider and board licensing information. Performs cost-benefit analyses on all projects; coordinates with business developers on incentives proposed to be offered in Arkansas businesses. Processes and issues provider and business licenses pertaining to pharmaceutical needs. Performs technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems to evaluate network services and technology in support of current and future development of the network. Maintains records on all financial incentive agreements offered and accepted. Makes recommendations on improvements to agency incentives and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of statistical analysis and data-collection. Knowledge of available cost-benefit analysis software programs. Knowledge of database management techniques, and information technology hardware and software. Ability to analyze and resolve computer system problems and devise corrective measures. Ability to configure and install computer hardware and software for users. Ability to analyze and evaluate statistical data. Ability to prepare and present oral and written information and reports. .

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of an associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; plus two years of experience in computer operations or related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
