AETN CHIEF POST PRODUCTION EDITOR
The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Chief Post Production Editor is responsible for overseeing the methods used in production operations after the actual end of shooting and/or recording of the each program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Typical Functions:
Oversees the process of selecting and joining together film shots, connecting the resulting sequences, and ultimately creating a finished program.
Reviews edited soundtracks to ensure proper synchronization of recorded music with images of a programs.
Verifies audio and video levels of programs to meet the guidelines of the Federal Communications Commission Standards.
Reviews additions of visual special effects, which are added via computer-generated imagery (CGI), and digital copy from which release prints will be made.
Creates and designs graphics for programs.
Assists in transferring film to video or data to enable film to be viewed on standard video equipment.
Alters and enhances the color of television images, either electronically, photo-chemically, or digitally.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of television post production techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of television program editing.
Knowledge of color correction and sound enhancing methods.
Knowledge of copyright laws and rights of privacy.
Ability to edit color and enhance sound within programs.
Ability to add music and sound effects to programs.
Ability to read and interpret federal rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in radio and television, journalism, or a related field; plus four years of experience in television editing or a related area.
Required Certificates:
Must possess a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
