ACOM AEDC SALES AND MARKETING SPECIALIST

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading the development, planning, coordination and execution of marketing plans and communication strategies for AEDC. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Special Job Requirements:

Typical Functions:

Coordinates press releases and other sales and marketing communications for AEDC. Works with field engineers to develop testimonials and information to be used with AEDC promotions. Interacts with other agency personnel to implement sales and marketing strategies. Generates client leads and supports field engineers by providing brochures, marketing material, and communication of events. Refines and maintains the website and works with media and others to promote AEDC services. Ensures timely and effective collaboration and coordination of all agency communication activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of design, production, and distribution of sales, marketing, and promotional literature. Knowledge of webinars and on-line training methods and techniques. Knowledge of design, maintenance, and enhancement of marketing websites. Ability to develop sales and marketing strategies. Ability to generate leads by creating localized marketing and communication campaigns. Ability to oversee marketing efforts such as developing schedules, promotional strategies, advertising, sponsorships and local alliances.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field; plus six years of experience in marketing, public relations or a related area.
