TELEVISION PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
The Television Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the creative services for educational television. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:
Supervises coordination of outreach activities, including exhibit schedules, special promotional events, and community services activities related to national Public Broadcast System (PBS) and local productions. Coordinates project assignments of staff from concept through implementation to create comprehensive theme and multi-media promotion. Designs and supervises construction of stage and backgrounds for television production as well as special events. Conceptualizes project design through planning sessions with department staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of photographic development, filming, printing, and reproduction techniques. Knowledge of art layout and design techniques. Ability to evaluate and identify design concepts. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of subordinates.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in art or a related field; plus two years of experience in commercial art, graphic design, television production, or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
