Provides immediate supervision of the work of subordinate stockroom and shipping and receiving clerks by establishing work schedules, providing detailed instructions, and reviewing the work, to ensure adherence to proper protocols and delivery of services. Develops and revises policies and procedures for the receipt, storage, issuance, and distribution of stored equipment and supplies. Provides employee job training, evaluates work performance, and handles disciplinary matters. Compiles data for budget preparation and prepares work unit activity reports. Initiates actions for issuance, distribution, and/or redistribution of stored equipment and supplies. Communicates with various departments, to ensure desired quantities of supplies and equipment are available, and orders replacement parts and tool inventory. Works with outside sources, such as suppliers and contractors, on incorrect orders and takes necessary measures to prevent reoccurrence. Prepares and circulates correspondence to departments regarding receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
