DLL AREC EXAMINER
The Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC) Examiner is responsible for providing support to the Licensing Department Supervisor and staff and examining, researching, and verifying documents pertaining to examination and licensing records. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:
Reviews, processes, and approves applications for the Real Estate examinations, and proofs and processes applications of candidates that passed the examination. Communicates, both verbally and in writing, with the testing service and with the public regarding license requests. Answers questions from real estate agents, the general public, exam candidates, and real estate educators. Processes firm name requests and active/inactive renewals for new and/or existing real estate firms and agents. Types and proofreads various office documents and maintains various computerized and paper files. Orders agency office supplies and equipment and operates office equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of Real Estate Licensing requirements and regulations. Knowledge of business, English, spelling, and punctuation. Knowledge of computer and word processing applications, as well as standard office equipment. Ability to convey and exchange written and oral information. Ability to organize and maintain computerized and paper files.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of secretarial experience. Must possess a valid Arkansas Drivers’ License Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
