DHS/DCFS FIELD SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
The Department of Human Services (DHS) / Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Field Services Representative is responsible for monitoring and providing consultation services to county offices. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Special Job Requirements:
Frequent in-state travel is required.
Typical Functions:
Conducts on-site visits to review case records and logs of protective and supportive
service agencies, and programs.
Coordinates on-site reviews with agency representatives.
Monitors community contract providers by interviewing and reviewing cases to ensure the
delivery of services are in compliance with state and federal laws.
Assists in the design and development of monitoring instruments and preparing state
reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of social services policies, procedures, programs and field operations.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of social work concerning individual and family problems.
Knowledge of agency, community and state social service resources.
Ability to evaluate programs and operations.
Ability to analyze and recommend remedial action.
Ability to provide guidance, consultation, and technical assistance.
Ability to serve as a social advocate for client, agency, and community resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field; plus three years of experience in a social service program.
Required Certificates:
Must possess a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
