DHS CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER

The Department of Human Services (DHS) Chief Procurement Officer is responsible for the legal administration of all contracts, grants, and purchase orders related to the management structure for all divisions and support offices in addition to operations of the DHS vehicle fleet, mailroom, print shop, and warehouse. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:

Directs development of solicitations and administrative compliance monitoring as well as conventional and electronic archiving for contracts and sub-grants.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of the Arkansas Administrative Statewide Information System.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or systems management, or a related field; plus six (6) years of progressively advanced supervisory experience. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
