AUDIOVISUAL AIDS SUPV

The Audiovisual Aids Supervisor is responsible for overseeing an audiovisual operation. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Special Job Requirements:

Typical Functions:

Oversees the work of subordinate employees by prioritizing work assignments, establishing deadlines, providing general instructions, and reviewing the work performed, to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with instructions or established policies and procedures. Coordinates the scheduling and distribution of audiovisual equipment and monitors set-up and operation of equipment by subordinates. Oversees maintenance and repair of audiovisual equipment, implements preventative maintenance program, and recommends replacement of defective equipment. Prepares budget information for work unit and submits for approval. Directs the billing of departments for use of audiovisual equipment and materials, and compiles reports of billing costs and hours worked. Maintains logs on equipment distribution and equipment loans as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of audiovisual equipment operation and maintenance requirements. Knowledge of educational needs related to audiovisual equipment and materials. Knowledge of billing procedures used to apply costs for use of audiovisual equipment. Ability to coordinate the scheduling and distribution of audiovisual equipment. Ability to supervise the work of subordinates engaged in an audiovisual operation. Ability to oversee the maintenance and operation of audiovisual equipment, including preventative maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus three years of experience in audiovisual operations, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
