AGRICULTURE DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

The Agriculture Director of Marketing is responsible for the agency's overall marketing and strategic planning programs, corporate communication, and facilitating client development through marketing and client service programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Typical Functions:

Designs, implements, and facilitates annual marketing plans for the agency; supports and facilitates development and implementation of section business/marketing plans. Plans and administers the agency’s marketing operations budget; supports development of regional marketing budgets. Supervises agency’s request for proposal protocol process, including soliciting request for proposals from desirable prospective clients and writing proposals for new business; participates in planning and presentation sessions, when assigned. Oversees agency’s electronic marketing efforts including supervision of website design and maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of marketing management and strategic planning practices. Knowledge of computer applications. Ability to develop and administer a marketing program.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field; plus five years of experience in marketing. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
