ADH DENTAL EXAMINERS BD INVESTIGATOR

The Dental Examiners Board Investigator is responsible for enforcing state Dental Examiners Board regulations. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Special Job Requirements:

Frequent in-state travel is required.

Typical Functions:

Conducts investigations and reports persons violating dental examiners rules and regulations. Conducts interviews of victims, handles complaints, and assists in examination of dental examiners records and/or operating procedures. Collects, preserves, and handles evidence for laboratory analysis and court presentation. Compiles facts, evidence, and documents collected from investigations, prepares affidavits, assists with taking depositions, and forwards information to appropriate agency. Prepares reports and manages case files, in accordance with Dental Examiners Board policy. Testifies in administrative or other proceedings on results of investigations and findings. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of the principle and practices of the dental examiners board policies. Knowledge of board policy and rules of dental examiners procedure. Knowledge of modern investigation methods and techniques. Knowledge of training needs and programs. Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively to determine proper course of action. Ability to complete clear and concise reports. Ability to work with the general public, other dentists, and officials. Ability to communicate with and interview victims, witnesses, and suspects. Ability to appear in court as witness.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field; plus three years of experience in dental examiner investigation, other regulatory investigations or a related field.

Required Certificates:

Must possess a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
