ADE CAREER EDUCATION DIVISION MANAGER

The ACE Division Manager functions as an Associate Director for the Division of Career and Technical Education. The Associate Director will lead and coordinate with program coordinators from the occupational areas of DCTE.

Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel are required, includingovernight stays.

Typical Functions:

The Associate Director will oversee all program development and curriculum alignment for the occupational areas of career and technical education. Supervises a professional educational staff. Uses analytics and exercises responsible judgment to achieve desireable outcomes in career and technical education in Arkansas.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of different occupational areas and career and technical student organizations. Knowledge of education law and federal and state policies regarding career and technical education programs and services, training techniques, and labor market trends. Abilty to supervise employees, including performance appraisal, disciplinary action, succession planning, job analysis, and professional development. Ability to excericse good professional judgment. Strong oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar and syntax. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in education administration, public administration, business administration, or a related field; plus five years of professional experience in the area of career and technical education, including three years in career and technical education teaching experience.

Required Certificates:

Must be licensed as a teacher, principal or administrator by the Arkansas Department of Education in accordance with Ark. Code. Ann.§6-17-401et. seq.
