ACOM REHAB DIR OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING
The Rehabilitation Director of Vocational Training is responsible for program planning and supervising the operation of programs designed to train persons with disabilities for employment. This position is governed state and federal laws and agency policy.

Typical Functions:
Supervises a small to medium-sized professional and administrative support staff by interviewing and recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training new employees, and evaluating the performance of incumbents.
Directs program planning and operation of programs designed to train persons with disabilities for employment at the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center.
Analyzes and evaluates program and service delivery effectiveness and compliance and administers and coordinates rehabilitation program activities.
Answers questions and interprets and applies rehabilitation laws and regulations pertaining to training of the disabled.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
Knowledge of rehabilitation counseling and case management.
Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to rehabilitation.
Knowledge of certification standards related to program.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational management.
Ability to administer and coordinate rehabilitation program activities.
Ability to analyze and evaluate program and service delivery effectiveness and compliance.
Ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of subordinates.
Ability to interprets and apply rehabilitation laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in public administration, general business, vocational education, or a related area; plus five years of experience in rehabilitation programs, vocational education, and evaluation activities, or a related area, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
