Typical Functions:

Supervises a small to medium-sized professional and administrative support staff by interviewing and recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training new employees, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Plans, implements, and directs service delivery and responsiveness and provides support and supervision of case management and compliance. Performs administrative duties, reporting, data collections, and fiscal management and analyzes daily work loads and assignments. Calculates program expenditures, reviews case records and reports, and communicates with staff and the general public. Serves as a team member for policy development and implementation of agency guidelines Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of public rehabilitation and service delivery. Knowledge of case management and ethical practice. Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement services. Ability to monitor and evaluate service quality. Ability to lead, develop, and manage personnel matters. Skills in personnel development and training.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related area; plus four years of experience in program organization and administration, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
